22 kW System in Downtown Atlanta.  Installed January, 2011

The Legacy Solar Canopy is making a visual impact while reducing the carbon footprint of the Centennial Park West, a condominium on Park Ave West in downtown Atlanta. 

Located directly across from Centennial Olympic Park and the Georgia Aquarium, property owners Legacy Property Group saw an opportunity to add a green amenity to their event space Ventana’s and improve upon what is already one of the best views in all of Atlanta.

The project uses locally produced Suniva solar cells.  By placing the array above the air conditioning units, the system is shading the units during the hotest time of the day, helping to create a cool zone.  The 22 kW system will produce enough energy to offset the common area lighting for the entire building.
