Inman Solar will install three projects that have received ARRA grants, as administered by GEFA.

(December 18, 2009) Atlanta, GA - Inman Solar, an Atlanta-based, full service solar photovoltaic (PV) systems integrator, serving commercial and residential clients, has commenced installation of three commercial PV projects that will be completed over the next six months.  The projects represent over 750 kW of installed capacity, and are the realization of federal stimulus initiatives at the local level.

The projects include a 25 kW solar canopy project on an Atlanta office property adjacent to the Beltline.  The other two projects are a 95 kW project in Peachtree City, and a 650 kW project on a vacant industrial building in Atlanta.

The 650 kW project will be the largest solar project installed in Georgia.

“These projects represent the full range of value-added that commercial solar projects can deliver for business owners and investors,” said Steve Chiariello, Director of Marketing for Inman Solar.  He added, “In addition to generating clean renewable energy, each system will meet the owner’s investment objects, whether that is creating green buzz for their business, or a straight return on investment.”

The grants were part of the Clean Energy Property Rebate program, funded by federal stimulus dollars and administered by the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority (GEFA).  In all, the program awarded $4.5 million in grants to 14 projects.
